Excellence in education is essential to the future success of our children, our communities, and our nation.
Contra Costa County has been our family home for over 40 years. We raised our four children here who graduated from local public schools through college graduation. I want every child in Contra Costa County to have that same opportunity.
My husband and I own a small business, so we understand the value of hard work, accountability, and long-term commitment to community. This community has benefitted our family so much, and I am determined to continue giving back.
My mother was a high school teacher who instilled in me a deep respect for education and public service. That foundation guided me to earn a degree in economics and a Master of Business Administration. Combined with eight years of service as a trustee in the Orinda Union School District, I am prepared to contribute meaningfully to the county level.
As a school board trustee, one of my most rewarding roles was working alongside representatives from multiple school districts to strengthen collaboration and support for students and families. I also valued attending the California School Boards Association Annual Education Conferences. Those experiences reinforced the power of continuous learning and partnership to improve our schools.
My goal on the County Board of Education will be to help ensure that every student receives an excellent education, and a chance to reach their highest potential. I will bring a collaborative, results-focused approach to building strong schools and communities where every child can succeed.
